tunes is for jazz students learning the repertoire, and for aging jazz musicians like me who know a lot of tunes but can't remember their names. It turns your humming into contoured lines that approximate the melody and maps them against a library of standards built from lead sheets, fuzzy enough that you don't have to sing it perfectly. No generative models, no embeddings, no calls out to anywhere: just small pitch-tracking nets and a matching trick borrowed from DNA search.
